My Art Way
I am Katarina Erlina - a Russian artist.
I have been interested in a tropical style in painting for a long time. My paintings “Magic Nature” is about the Life in the Jungles, the Life without stress and civilization, the Life with Pure Love. Bright, but sophisticated tropical colors, exotic nature, fantastic inhabitants, and in the end magic, enveloping us by the world of jungle... Yes, and people live here just the way the first parents Adam and Eve did once upon a time. The idea of these paintings came to me in 2013, when I was travelling in Taiwan. The Tree here depicts the Mother, and the Child who are enclosed within its thick but blossoming shell. This is a metaphor of birth, creation and pure beauty. Only a Living Thing can create Life. A newborn human is weak and soft, but there is great power in its weakness, while rigidity and force are Death’s companions. So be caring towards all that Lives. My series of paintings is an attempt to raise the magic patterned curtain enveloping the lively spirit of Nature, that teaches us also that every moment of our life has its own significant meaning.
